FALL HATS MUTHER FUCKERS!

OOOH! It's cold and windy today, making it feel like the perfect day to hang out with a cup 'a tea and knit up some cute shit!  Sean (the "man of the house") even pulled out a blanket, which must mean that fall has officially arrived.  I've been in love with this little knitting book I picked up called Baby Beanies.  I dunno who wrote it and I'm too lazy to go look alright?  It's cute though maybe you should buy it.

Anyways, I'm now on my 3rd hat in the last, what, 2 weeks?  I've made a cute little bear bonnet (oh, and a pair of little mitts to match, I smell Christmas gift), a hot pink and white beret for M- Bomb (hopefully it will look more like a little slouchy hat, rather than an actual beret)  and now I'm working on a little garter stitch hat with ear flaps, again, for M-Bomb in a rad orange/red/yellow/ pinkish multi colored yarn.   I've been so in love with these hats that.... wait for it, I'm knitting at home, SOBER!  WHAT? WEIRD!  It's like I've rediscovered my passion for knitting, at least temporarily.  I think little hats are totally my jam.

I love this knitting book, the hats are cute and the patterns seem to make sense (at least when I read them correctly).   Also, the sizing seems to be right on AND I've learned new skills.... I know, that doesn't sound like me at all, but I did... I learned a 3 needle bind off and how to make a pom pom, (which I promptly destroyed 'cause pom poms look stupid.  It's true and you know it.)

So, that's whats up now.  I guess by next week I'll have made all the hats I wanted to and I'll be back to trying to find some other lame project to take to knitting club. I guess we'll see.
